SpaceX CEO Elon Musk participated in a postlaunch information conference held in the press site auditorium at NASA’s KSC on May 30, 2020 after the company’s SpaceX Demo 2 mission to the ISS. He said that wild allegations about him weren’t true.
He didn’t clarify what these allegations were. But his response came after a Business Insider report about the aerospace company had paid $250,0000 in severance to a female flight attendant who accused the businessman of sexual misconduct. The article, which quoted interviews and paperwork obtained by Business Insider, mentioned the woman said that during a therapeutic massage she was providing him he uncovered his erect penis and touched her thigh without her consent. She also claimed that he offered to buy her a horse if she performed intercourse acts.
Musk, with out referring instantly, tweeted that “For the record, those wild allegations are utterly untrue”. “The attacks towards me need to be viewed through a political angle – this is their standard (disgusting) playbook”, he tweeted. Insider reported the alleged incident happened in Musk’s space on a SpaceX plane to London in late 2016. Musk informed Insider there was “a lot more to this tale” as he asked the publication for additional time to respond to the article’s claims.
